Free trial and billing

Starting Your Free Trial

When you sign up for Squarepaste, you automatically get a 14-day free trial:

• No credit card required to start the trial
• Full access to all Squarepaste features during the trial period
• You can use Squarepaste on your Squarespace websites immediately
• The trial starts as soon as you create your account

During your trial, you have access to all features available in your selected plan, allowing you to fully test Squarepaste before making a commitment.

Trial Duration

Your free trial lasts for 14 days:

• The trial period begins when you create your Squarepaste account
• We'll email you a reminder when your trial has two days left
• Settings → Plan & Billing shows how many days your trial has left
• The trial ends automatically after 14 days unless you subscribe

What Happens When Your Trial Ends

When your 14-day trial ends, you have two options:

1. Subscribe to a plan: Add a card to continue using Squarepaste
2. Don't subscribe: Squarepaste stops working on your sites when the trial ends. Your account isn't deleted, so you can subscribe later

There is no free plan, so if you don't subscribe before the trial ends, you'll lose access to Squarepaste features. Export any conversation you want to keep before then – open the project in your dashboard, go to the Actions tab and click "Chat transcript".

Billing After Trial

Once you subscribe to a plan:

• Billing begins immediately after your trial ends
• You'll be charged for the plan you selected, on the billing period you chose – monthly, or once a year if you picked annual
• Annual costs $168, $348 or $888 a year for Link, Connect or Atlas – $14, $29 or $74 a month, billed annually
• Your subscription will renew automatically unless you cancel

You can add a card at any time during your trial to ensure uninterrupted service. You start on monthly billing and can switch to yearly at any time under Settings → Plan & Billing → Billing period, even during the trial.

Canceling During Trial

You can cancel your trial at any time:

1. Go to Settings → Plan & Billing
2. Click "Manage" and cancel in Stripe's billing portal, or simply don't add a card
3. No charges will be applied if you cancel before subscribing

If you cancel during the trial, you'll continue to have access until the trial period ends.

Trial Limitations

During your free trial:

• All features are available based on your selected plan tier
• There are no usage limits beyond your plan's website limits
• You can switch plans during the trial from Settings → Plan & Billing → Manage
• Support is available throughout your trial period

Tip: Use your trial period to test Squarepaste with real client conversations. This will help you determine which plan best fits your needs.
