Update your profile

Accessing Your Profile Settings

To update your profile information:

1. Log in to your Squarepaste dashboard
2. Open the menu from your profile picture and choose "Profile", or go to Settings → Profile
3. Click "Edit" next to the field you want to change
4. Make your change in the window that opens
5. Click "Update" to apply it

Changing Your Email Address

To update your email address:

1. Go to Settings → Profile
2. Next to Email address, click "Edit"
3. Enter your new email address
4. Click "Update"
5. Confirm the change from the email we send to your new address

Your email address is used for account notifications, billing receipts, and password resets. Make sure to use an email address you have access to.

Updating Your Name

To change your display name:

1. Go to Settings → Profile
2. Next to Name, click "Edit"
3. Enter your new name
4. Click "Update"

Your name appears in your dashboard and may be visible to clients depending on your settings.

Time Zone

To change your time zone:

1. Go to Settings → Profile
2. Next to Time zone, click "Edit"
3. Choose your time zone
4. Click "Update"

Profile Picture

To update your profile picture:

1. Go to Settings → Profile
2. Next to Profile picture, click "Edit"
3. Click "Upload image" and choose an image from your device
4. Rotate it if needed
5. Click "Update"

Use a JPEG, PNG or WebP image under 2MB.

On the Connect and Atlas plans, the same page also has a Widget icon row, where you can upload your own icon for the chat widget.

Password Management

To change your password:

1. Go to Settings → Password
2. Click "Edit"
3. Enter your current password
4. Enter a new password of at least 8 characters
5. Confirm your new password
6. Click "Update"

If you signed up with Google and have no password, use "Forgot Password" on the log-in page to set one.

Email Preferences

To turn product update emails on or off, use the "App update emails" switch in Settings → Profile.

Tip: Keep your profile information current to ensure you receive important account updates and billing notifications.
