Welcome to squarepaste.com (“Squarepaste”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and services. By purchasing a product, subscribing to a service, or interacting with squarepaste.com in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Description of Services

Squarepaste is a web design and management studio. We offer the following services:

  • Custom Website Design: We design and build custom websites on the Squarespace and Webflow platforms. Custom projects are scoped individually and follow a milestone-based payment structure as outlined in each project proposal.

  • Website Maintenance Plans: We offer ongoing website support through monthly subscription plans, currently Core and Premier. Each plan provides varying levels of content updates, technical support, and site management.

  • Templates: We sell pre-designed website templates built for Squarespace. Some templates may require a specific Squarespace subscription plan to install or publish.

  • Plugins: We sell code-based plugins that can be installed on your Squarespace website to add features or styling.

The scope, pricing, and deliverables for each service are described on our website or in the applicable project proposal.

2. User Accounts

You do not need an account to purchase a website or plugin. However, if you subscribe to a Website Maintenance Plan, you may be required to create an account to manage your subscription and access support.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. User Content

As part of our services, you may upload content (e.g. images, text, documents) that you want us to add to your website. You retain ownership of all content you provide.

By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to access, use, and modify your content solely for the purpose of building or maintaining your website. You represent that you have the legal right to use any content you submit.

We do not moderate user-submitted content, but we reserve the right to decline projects or remove content that violates intellectual property laws or other legal obligations.

4. Payments & Subscriptions

We use Stripe and Squarespace Payments to process transactions securely. Klarna and Afterpay are also available as payment options for applicable purchases.

Our Website Maintenance Plans are billed monthly and automatically renew unless canceled before the next billing date. You can cancel your plan at any time.

For templates, plugins, and maintenance plans: we do not offer refunds. If you are unsatisfied with a purchase or subscription, we may, at our sole discretion, offer store credit that can be used toward another product or service on squarepaste.com.

For custom website design projects: milestone payments are non-refundable once work for that milestone has commenced. See Section 5 (Custom Website Design Projects) for full details.

Prices, subscription terms, and plan features are subject to change. We will notify you in advance if any changes affect your current plan.

6. Custom Website Design Projects

Custom website design projects are governed by the project proposal provided to the client before work begins. By submitting payment for the first milestone, the client agrees to the scope, timeline, and investment outlined in the proposal.

  • Milestone Payments: Custom projects follow a milestone-based payment structure. Each milestone and its corresponding amount are defined in the project proposal. Milestone payments are due at the times specified in the proposal and are non-refundable once work for that milestone has commenced.

  • Client Responsibilities: The client is responsible for providing all requested content, data, images, and feedback within the agreed timeline. Delays in providing materials may extend the project timeline. Squarepaste is not responsible for timeline delays caused by late or incomplete client deliverables.

  • Revisions: Each project includes two consolidated revision rounds unless otherwise specified in the proposal. Additional revision rounds beyond what is included may be subject to additional fees.

  • Ownership and Handoff: Upon receipt of final payment, full ownership of the completed website is transferred to the client. Until final payment is received, Squarepaste retains ownership of all work produced. Squarepaste reserves the right to showcase the completed project in its portfolio unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

  • Cancellation: If the client cancels a project after the first milestone payment has been made, the deposit is non-refundable. If cancellation occurs after additional milestones have been paid, any payments made for milestones where work has already been completed or commenced are non-refundable. Squarepaste will deliver all completed work up to the point of cancellation.

  • Platform Migration and Domain Transfer: For projects that include platform migration or domain transfer, Squarepaste will make every reasonable effort to ensure a seamless transition. However, Squarepaste is not responsible for issues caused by third-party domain registrars, hosting providers, or platform limitations outside of our control.
